A YouTube comedian spent a brief time as the mayor of Hell on Wednesday before being impeached. Elijah Daniel paid a $100 fee to become mayor of Hell, Michigan, for a day after spending two days searching for a town willing to offer him a political office as a statement about U.S. President Donald Trump. “As of today, August 30th, 2017 I am the legal mayor of Hell, Michigan. This is real. I am the mayor of Hell,”
Daniel said. With his first act as mayor, Daniel issued a proclamation banning straight people from the town. His measure also included an $84,000 “reproductive precautionary deposit” for heterosexuals living in Hell, heterosexual reparative therapy and a mandate that “hetero residents” that don’t participate in the therapy participate in a public shaming while wearing a scarlet “H” and cargo shorts.
About an hour after his bold legislation Daniel was promptly impeached.
Name a bigger gay icon. I'll wait.
