Trump supporters have had a pretty tough week. Between Trump bro-ing out with Chuck Schumer and making secret DACA deals with Pelosi, many MAGAs were starting to worry that Trump may be abandoning his campaign promises (to hate everyone but them).
What's a MAGA to do?
Answer: Hold the MOTHER OF ALL RALLIES or "M.O.A.R." on the National Mall in DC on a Saturday (because MAGAs literally have nothing better to do on a Saturday) that will, according to the event's website, "send a direct message to Congress, the media and the world that [they] stand united to protect and preserve American culture."
The organizers of M.O.A.R., who like Trump have extreme delusions of grandeur, claimed the event would be the “Woodstock” of rallies (Woodstock had around 400,000 people). Unfortunately, it ended up being more like an open mic night in Seattle, with only a few hundred attendees.
What's Twitter to do?
Answer: Mock the shit out of it
Many people compared the tiny crowd with the monster crowd that attended the Women's March
Maybe it's the quality, not quantity, of the crowd that makes it the "Mother of All Rallies"? Let's take a look.
Wow! Mr Clean's vertically challenged cousin would certainly make Joseph McCarthy proud with his anti-commie flag
These idiots would place 37th out of 35 in a master race.
I’d like to think that nobody showed up to the MOAR because people who once supported Trump are embarrassed and disgusted by his recent behavior and connection to white supremacists. But most likely, the reason nobody shows up to these stupid rallies is because “the silent majority” wishes to remain silent. Many people voted for Trump because they’re wealthy and wanted a tax break or because they felt like they were being screwed by globalism. But after Trump initially refused to denounce white supremacists following the violence in Charlottesville – where 32-year-old Heather Heyer lost her life in an act of domestic terrorism– many Trump supporters realized they could no longer hide behind the economic anxiety excuse. But that doesn't mean they're abandoning Trump anytime soon.
